Traditional lasagna with rich and cheesy layers of Pierce Chicken® Spinach Chicken Dip, ricotta cheese and melted mozzarella cheese.
INGREDIENTS
Pierce Chicken® Spinach Chicken Dip (Code #17821) | 15 cups |
Marinara sauce | 1 gallon |
Pasta sheets, frozen | 12 each |
Mozzarella cheese, shredded | 6 cups |
Ricotta cheese, whole milk | 6 cups |
Parmesan cheese, grated | 1 cup |
CHEF’S NOTE:
Alfredo sauce may be substituted in place of marinara for a white lasagna variant.
METHOD
To prepare 1 lasagna:
- Spread 2 cups marinara sauce in the bottom of a 2-inch deep full hotel pan.
- Arrange 2 pasta sheets over marinara sauce. Spread 2½ cups Pierce Chicken® Spinach Chicken Dip over pasta, top with 1 cup ricotta cheese, 2 cups marinara and 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat process for 2 additional layers, top with Parmesan cheese, wrap tightly with foil and bake at 375°F for 30 minutes, remove foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
- Transfer hotel pan to steam table or hot box and hold hot for service. Serve 4-inch by 4-inch slices on a heated plate.
